If we always think about the high temperatures that Africa is experiencing, we must not forget that the continent is sometimes subject to more or less heavy rains. In both Morocco and Tunisia, the Mediterranean climate offers warm temperatures that change according to the season. As in our latitudes, winter is the season that sees the most rainfall in northern Africa. Wondering when to go to Africa for a stay away from the rains? From Marrakech to Essaouira, passing through Agadir, winter will bring you mild temperatures, but also regular rains. Heading towards the south of the continent, the weather is divided into two periods: dry season and rainy season. In Senegal, for example, the rainy season runs from June to October. Temperatures are around 30°C and rainfall is particularly high from July to September. Once past the Equator, the seasons are reversed. In South Africa, for example, the southern winter begins to take its toll in May. Until September, temperatures rarely exceed 20°C and rainfall is omnipresent. On the Indian Ocean side, the climate takes on a tropical appearance, whether in Durban or Mozambique. The rainy season occurs between November and March, in the middle of our winter, and imposes intense rainfall and torrid temperatures.
