Located close to the equator, Indonesia enjoys a hot, tropical climate. There are two seasons in which Indonesians live: the wet season and the dry season.
The wet season extends from November to April with a peak of humidity in December and January. The heat peaks and the moisture can become difficult to bear. Precipitation** is higher during this season, but it is quite possible to come and enjoy Indonesia during this period.
The dry season is from May to October**. This is the best time to go to Indonesia and avoid the monsoon. The climate is very pleasant, temperatures are mild (around 24°) and rainfall is scarcer. An ideal atmosphere to take advantage of the paradise beaches of the country. However, if you have the choice in your travel dates, favour the mid-season. Plan a departure in May or September, two ideal periods to enjoy Indonesia far from the crowds while benefiting from a particularly mild and sunny climate!
