Club Med Kiroro Peak, Hokkaido Now Open
Singapore, 15 December 2022 – Club Med’s newest addition to its portfolio of snow resorts in Asia, Club Med Kiroro Peak, is officially opened. Set in Hokkaido, the 2.1-hectare resort is aimed at city dwellers looking for experiences beyond the ordinary. With a one-of-a-kind untouched snow experience in a natural environment complete with direct access to a pristine ski domain, Club Med Kiroro Peak offers some of the best powdery snow in the world of an average annual snowfall of 21 metres and long ski season lasting up till May each year, the only Club Med mountain resort in Asia to offer spring skiing.
Club Med Kiroro Peak has 126 rooms, along with the brand’s first traditional Japanese onsen, distinctive restaurant and bar concepts, a full-service spa and wellness space, modern event spaces, and much more. A Variety of Accommodation for Every Stay
The 126-room resort boasts three accommodation categories - 113 Superior and 11 Deluxe Rooms, and two Suites, customisable to suit guests’ comfort preference. Every room at Kiroro Peak is warmly furnished with an inviting palette of alpine timbre combined with touches of comfortable bespoke Japanese patterned fabric collage and Western tartan patterns. Guests will be invited to dream at Kiroro Peak as reflected in the Japanese stylised wide-brush calligraphy painting above the headboard in each room.

Elevated Mountain Vacations
Bringing on a new dimension to vacation experiences, Club Med Kiroro Peak offers a multitude of facilities and activities. Adventure seekers can blaze new trails and experience the best high-altitude adventure playgrounds. Known internationally as a powder skiing mecca and being situated on the outer fringes of Niseko between the south of Otaru city and to the west of Sapporo city in Hokkaido, Club Med Kiroro Peak, Hokkaido boasts the finest powder snow in the world with 160 days of winter and the most snowfall at 21 metres annually on average, more than anywhere else in the country. The resort will offer guests unlimited ski-in, ski-out access to an untouched ski domain with 23 courses and pristine off-piste ski slopes, and access to daily group ski and snowboard lessons, ranging from beginner to advanced.
Guests seeking active experiences outside of traditional skiing and snowboarding can choose from activities like snow trekking, yoga, cardio training, digital darts and swim sessions at the resort's indoor pool. For a more relaxing experience, guests can also indulge themselves in a full body and wellness experience during their winter holiday.
Enjoy a moment of zen at the brand’s first-ever traditional Japanese Onsen* filled with 100% natural hot spring water, or choose to be surrounded by the snowy mountainscape and take a relaxing soak in the Rotenburo outdoor hot bathtub or simply indulge in soothing treatments at the Club Med Spa.
An exciting culinary lineup awaits at Club Med Kiroro Peak. The resort will feature three restaurants and one main bar. Otaru, the resort's main restaurant serves a wide variety of international and Japanese delights, The Kaen*, a yakiniku specialty restaurant presents an authentic Japanese barbecue experience featuring premium local Hokkaido and Wagyu beef, and fresh seafood, and The Ogon*, an Asian Fusion specialty restaurant that specialises in Chinese and Thai cuisine paired with fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the region. Perfect to recharge at after a day out on the slopes, The View Bar offers snacks and beverages all day, complemented by the picturesque views of snow-covered peaks, which transforms into a theatre in the evening for nightly live entertainment.
While Club Med Kiroro Peak has a minimum age access of 12-year-old, new programmes and activities are designed for couples and multi-generational families to allow each family member to spend some “me-time”/personal alone and quality time together as a family.
Delivering an Unconventional Hokkaido Experience
Discover local Hokkaido delights and craftsmanship in the nearby Otaru Coastal Town, a port city known for their glasswork and oil lamp factories, music boxes and sake distilleries just 40 minutes away from Club Med Kiroro Peak in the northwest of Sapporo on Ishikari Bay. Wander through streets that showcase handmade Otaru glass crafts and local artist paintings, or try a hand at creating beautiful pieces of art to bring home at the Otaru Glassmaking Workshop**. Savour artisanal sake and beers from local breweries in the Otaru and Yoichi Distillery Visit** and uncover the secrets of the unique brewing process that produces the crisp and fresh nihonshu.
